Like most of my work, there is a story behind this photograph. It was taken across the street from the BBC in London. During my sister-in-law’s wedding reception, I was walking my baby in her stroller, trying to get her to sleep. Suddenly, there were “Kate Moss” models in front of me. I thought it was interesting so I took some photos. Ten minutes after I took the picture, the BBC producer sent his assistant after me and to ask that I delete the images, saying I did not have the right to shoot the models. I played dumb, saying I didn’t take any photos, and after a while he left me alone. This reminds me of a strange day on the streets of London — and raises interesting questions of who owns the rights in art.
